Langabhat Medical Practice Coronavirus Statement (updated 8pm Tue 24th March)
We strongly advise patients to take note of the latest Government advice - stay home & stay safe.
We are experiencing a huge demand on our services at present due to Coronavirus situation. Our team are doing their best to answer your calls and address your concerns, but there are things you can do to ensure that we are able to respond to those most in need:
Concerns about Coronavirus - please go to NHS Inform for the latest information and call NHS 24 on 111 if your symptoms worsen.
Repeat Prescription Ordering - please consider registering for online ordering of repeat prescriptions to reduce the number of telephone calls we are handling. The online ordering service is available 24/7. If you are interested in this service, please send an email with your full name, date of birth, address, postcode, best telephone number to contact you on to [email protected]
Repeat Prescription Turnaround - due to the massive increased demand for prescriptions, we have moved to 72 working hours from order to prescriptions being available for collection.
Individual & Community Groups will start delivering prescriptions from Wednesday 25th March. See News Page or click here Prescription Delivery for more details.
Appointments face to face GP and routine nurse appointments are not available at present. Our Practice Nurses are contacting patients who do not need to come in for monitoring appointments and our GPs and Nurse Practitioners are vetting calls for GP appointments to be done by telephone.
Leurbost remains open, but only attend if you have an appointment, need to pick up a prescription for yourself or someone else or you need to drop off a sample we have asked for. Other than that please do not attend, call us instead if you have to.
Please be patient with our staff. They are dealing with a tremendous amount of work at present and are working above and beyond their normal hours in order to cover the demand for our services. They are also dealing with daily changes to advice from National bodies so can we reiterate that the best place to go for information in the first instance is NHS Inform as it is the most up-to-date source.
